Arrow of Orion
'Arrow of Orion' is the title of a non-canon anime film based on the series 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?'. The film was released in Japan on February 15, 2019, with a limited release in other countries, including the US, later that year. The Japanese Blu-Ray was released on July 31, 2019, and in English on September 7, 2020. The film can also be streamed on HIDIVE.
The film is centred around the goddess Artemis, a longtime friend of Hestia, who is the goddess of the Hestia Familia. During the Lunar Festival, Hermes organises an event to see if someone can retrieve Artemis' famed spear from a piece of crystal. Many try but fail, until Bell, the protagonist, retrieves it. The crystal breaks and the Goddess Artemis appears, declaring Bell her "Orion". Artemis then recruits the Hestia Familia to fight against a powerful monster known as Antares, whose corruption is slowly destroying the world and causing monsters to go berserk.
Artemis is known as the best archer of the gods and her familia emphasise hunting with ranged weapons. Antares plans to use her Arcanum to unleash the "strongest arrow" that could annihilate the entire Lower World in one shot. To prevent this, Artemis sends a copy of herself to Orario to get someone to slay her and Antares.
The film features new monsters and goddesses, and a whole new level of danger. It also includes an epilogue in which Artemis and Bell reunite after she finally reincarnates and is sent to the Lower World.
