What You'll Learn

Gonzo's girlfriend, Camilla
Gonzo is a Muppet character from the sketch comedy television series The Muppet Show, known for his eccentric passion for stunt performance. Gonzo has appeared in every Muppet film, including The Muppet Christmas Carol, where he portrayed author Charles Dickens. Gonzo is not a puppet version of a human or a recognisable animal. He has an awkward, non-animal-like appearance, which includes purple-blue fur, purple feathers on his head, bug-eyes, and a long, hooked nose, referred to as a "beak". Gonzo's self-identity is a "whatever".
Gonzo has a long-standing romantic relationship with Camilla the Chicken, whom he first courted in a 1979 episode of The Muppet Show. Gonzo and Camilla have been in some sort of relationship ever since, even with Gonzo’s apparent inability to tell her apart from other chickens. In A Muppet Family Christmas, when Gonzo states to the Christmas Turkey that Camilla is his girlfriend, the Christmas Turkey says, "You're not even a bird!". Gonzo's attraction to poultry developed throughout the course of the show, starting with a humble “Nice legs!” remark to an auditioning chicken dancer in the Rich Little episode. Gonzo's relationship with Camilla is not without its troubles, as Gonzo sometimes struggles to tell Camilla apart from other chickens, leading to questions about whether the chicken he is with is really Camilla or just some nameless chicken.
In addition to Camilla, Gonzo has also introduced fellow fowl Priscilla and Miss Stephens. Gonzo has several memorable performances, such as his 1979 song from The Muppet Movie, "I'm Going to Go Back There Someday". Gonzo took on a leading role in the Muppet clan in the 1990s, starting with The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), where he played Charles Dickens. Gonzo's manic, daredevil side would begin to fade into the background in favour of his more prominent, show-runner role. Gonzo continued his hosting role in Muppet Classic Theater, where he played Rumpelstiltskin. Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat's partnership continued in Muppet Treasure Island (1996) and Muppets from Space (1999). Gonzo is good friends with all of the Muppets.

Sesame Street Episode 4215 chickens
Sesame Street is an American educational children's television series that combines education and entertainment. The show is well-known for its Muppet characters, created by the puppeteer Jim Henson. Over 4,500 episodes of the show have been produced, making it one of the longest-running television shows in US history.
In Sesame Street Episode 4215, members of the Mostly Poultry tee-ball team seek shelter from a storm inside Hooper's Store. The names of the four brown chickens are revealed to be Henrietta, Patty, Teri(yaki), and Attila the Hen (Tilly). Henrietta had also made an appearance in an earlier episode, number 4127.
The Muppet chickens usually communicate with squawks, although they sometimes speak. They are built without an eye mechanism, but the Muppet builders found a way to give them different expressions by giving some chickens one wide open eye and one 'relaxed' eye with an eyelid. This way, the chicken could change emotions by quickly turning its head.
There are several notable chickens in Sesame Street, including Camilla, Gonzo's girlfriend. In one of the first episodes, a chicken suit was made for guest star Harvey Korman, which was later used whenever a full-body chicken character was needed. Other named chickens include Clucky Luciano, Jack, Judy, Little Chicken, Lurlene, Margret, Murray, Penny, Phil, and Shelly.

Sesame Street in Communities video chicken
In a "Sesame Street in Communities" video called "Take Your Child to Work Day," Grover takes a chicken named Harriet to work at the television station where Elijah works. In the video, Harriet is a brown chicken with a light yellow beak and red comb. She wears a purple vest and a pink ribbon around her neck.
Harriet is just one of many chickens to appear on Sesame Street over the years. The Muppet Show, which was created by puppeteer Jim Henson, introduced a group of brown chickens with rounded eyes and sharp beaks to Sesame Street in the late 1970s. These chickens were distinct from the white Muppet chickens with big, round eyes that made rare appearances on the show.
One notable Muppet chicken is Camilla, who is Gonzo's girlfriend. Gonzo has other chicken friends, including Priscilla and Miss Stephens. In one episode, Gonzo introduces them while holding a chicken named Bernice.
Another notable chicken on Sesame Street is Super Chicken, a superhero character who first appeared in a framing scene from "My Sesame Street Friends." Super Chicken is known for her problem-solving abilities and has a theme song that exalts her prowess. In one episode, Super Chicken helps Luis and Maria at the Mail It Shop, fixes Gabi's popcorn machine, and unties Miles' shoelaces. Super Chicken's quick problem-solving skills sometimes make Super Grover feel inferior.
Other named chickens on Sesame Street include Clucky Luciano, Jack, Judy, Little Chicken, Lurlene, Margret, Murray, Penny, Phil, Shelly, and Selma Worm. In one episode, members of the "Mostly Poultry" tee-ball team take refuge from a storm inside Hooper's Store. The four brown chickens are named Henrietta, Patty, Teri(yaki), and Attila the Hen (Tilly).
