Ayesha is the golden high priestess of the Sovereign
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Ayesha hires the Guardians of the Galaxy to protect valuable Anulax Batteries from an inter-dimensional monster, the Abilisk, in exchange for Nebula, whom the Sovereign had captured after she tried to steal the batteries. However, after the Guardians accomplish their mission, Rocket steals several of the batteries for himself.
